StarCraft is a real time strategy (RTS) that was created by Blizzard Entertainment, those wonderful people who brought the world Warcraft, Warcraft II and Diablo.
The "point" of the game is to fight other people and races over a number of worlds for the ultimate goal of ruling the galaxy.
There are three races in StarCraft, each of which have their own strengths and weaknesses. I suggest that you play as several in order to find one that fits your personal playing style. The three races are- The Zerg
- The Terrans
- The Protoss
As forementioned, each are unique and powerful in their own way, yet overall (in the hands of a skilled player) EQUAL! This just means that one race is no stronger than the next, only that each race caters to a different style of play.
